1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UNEE. By accessing or using the UNEE mobile application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of UNEE, including registered students, document contributors, and any other individuals who access the application.

2. Eligibility

To use UNEE, you must be at least 16 years of age, enrolled in or affiliated with a recognized educational institution or be a legitimate academic professional, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. You must not be currently banned or permanently suspended from UNEE.

3. Account Registration

To access most features, you must register with your full name, email address, and phone number. You must provide accurate information and update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Each user may maintain only one active UNEE account — creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is a violation of these Terms.

UNEE allows eligible users to earn money by uploading high-quality academic documents. All uploaded documents must be academic in nature, must be documents you have the right to share, must not infringe third-party intellectual property, and must be of sufficient quality to be useful to students. Earnings are credited based on document performance. The minimum payout threshold is 1,000 XAF. Payouts are processed via MTN or Orange Mobile Money. Unpaid earnings are forfeited upon account suspension.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use UNEE to upload fraudulent or misleading academic documents, harass or harm other users, attempt unauthorized access to UNEE systems, use automated bots or scripts, circumvent content protection or subscription verification measures, redistribute or commercially exploit UNEE content outside the application, or create multiple accounts to evade suspensions.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

The UNEE application, its design, logo, name, and features are owned by UNEE and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. By uploading documents to UNEE, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content to registered users within the application. You retain ownership of your original content.

8. Document Access & Restrictions

Documents on UNEE are accessible only within the application. Downloading documents to your local device is not permitted. This restriction exists to protect contributor intellectual property and prevent unauthorized redistribution. Any attempt to circumvent this restriction may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

9. Study Streaks & Badges

UNEE's streak and badge system is designed to encourage consistent study habits. Streaks and badges are for motivational purposes only and hold no monetary value. UNEE reserves the right to modify, reset, or remove streak and badge data at any time. Attempting to manipulate the streak system through automated sessions or falsified activity is a violation of these Terms.

10. Account Suspension & Appeals

UNEE operates a three-strike system for policy violations. Upon receiving three strikes, your account will be suspended and unpaid earnings will be forfeited. Suspended users may submit up to 3 lifetime appeals through the UNEE app. A minimum of 48 hours must elapse between submissions. Appeal decisions are final. If all 3 appeals are rejected, your account will be permanently banned.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. UNEE shall not be liable to you or any third party for termination of your account.

12. Disclaimers

UNEE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the application or the academic content within it. UNEE does not guarantee that using UNEE will improve academic performance or lead to specific academic outcomes. UNEE is not affiliated with any educational institution.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UNEE and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the application. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to UNEE in the 3 months preceding the claim.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of UNEE shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cameroon.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification and update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of UNEE after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
