Cameroon is known as "Africa in miniature" — with rainforests, savannas, beaches, mountains, and a rich cultural heritage, it has exceptional tourism potential. Tourism and Travel Management graduates are positioned to develop and promote this potential professionally.

The program covers tourism marketing, destination management, travel agency operations, and the history and geography of Cameroon — giving graduates both the technical and local knowledge needed to serve tourists effectively.

With government investment in tourism infrastructure and growing interest from international visitors, the sector is creating more formal employment opportunities. HND TAT graduates can work in travel agencies, hotels, tour operators, national parks, and tourism promotion organisations.

The HND Tourism and Travel Agency Management (TAT) is a two-year higher technical education program offered by universities and institutes of technology under the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It combines foundational theory with practical, industry-relevant skills to prepare students for employment or further study.

National examinations for HND TAT are organised by the National Commission for the Organisation of the Higher National Diploma Exam. Students sit for papers across the courses listed above, following the exam framework set by the commission. Knowing the structure of each paper — including mark allocation and section breakdown — is essential preparation.
