The 2025 Special and Inclusive Education program has been significantly expanded to include American Sign Language, Braille Transcribing, Mental Health and Autism, and Community Based Rehabilitation — reflecting a much more comprehensive approach to inclusive education in Cameroon.

The HND Special Education (SPE) is a two-year higher technical education program offered by universities and institutes of technology under the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It combines foundational theory with practical, industry-relevant skills to prepare students for employment or further study.

National examinations for HND SPE are organised by the National Commission for the Organisation of the Higher National Diploma Exam. Students sit for papers across the courses listed above, following the exam framework set by the commission. Knowing the structure of each paper — including mark allocation and section breakdown — is essential preparation.
