HND Pharmacy Technology Syllabus

Pharmacy Technologists work alongside pharmacists in hospitals, community pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies — dispensing medications, managing drug inventory, counselling patients, and ensuring drug quality and safety.

The program covers pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and hands-on pharmacy practice. You graduate with both the scientific knowledge to understand medicines and the practical skills to work safely in a pharmacy environment.

With the proliferation of private pharmacies and hospital pharmacy departments across Cameroon, HND PHT graduates have strong employment prospects.

The HND Pharmacy Technology (PHT) is a two-year higher technical education program offered by universities and institutes of technology under the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It combines foundational theory with practical, industry-relevant skills to prepare students for employment or further study.

National examinations for HND PHT are organised by the National Commission for the Organisation of the Higher National Diploma Exam. Students sit for papers across the courses listed above, following the exam framework set by the commission.
