HND Chemical Manufacturing Syllabus

Chemical Manufacturing supports key industries in Cameroon including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cleaning products, agro-chemicals, and food processing.

The program combines chemical engineering principles with practical manufacturing skills — process engineering, chemical calculations, laboratory practice, and safety management.

As Cameroon's industrial base grows and import substitution policies encourage local production, the demand for chemical manufacturing technologists will increase.

The HND Chemical Manufacturing (CHM) is a two-year higher technical education program offered by universities and institutes of technology under the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It combines foundational theory with practical, industry-relevant skills to prepare students for employment or further study.

National examinations for HND CHM are organised by the National Commission for the Organisation of the Higher National Diploma Exam. Students sit for papers across the courses listed above, following the exam framework set by the commission.
