HND Andragogy Syllabus

Andragogy — the science and art of adult learning — is increasingly recognised as a distinct discipline from general pedagogy. In Cameroon, adult education, vocational training, and continuing professional development are all growing sectors that need specialists in how adults learn.

The program trains you to design, deliver, and evaluate learning programmes specifically for adult learners — taking into account their life experience, motivations, and learning preferences.

Technical and vocational training centres, corporate training departments, NGO capacity building programmes, and continuing education institutions all need Andragogy graduates.

The HND Andragogy (AND) is a two-year higher technical education program offered by universities and institutes of technology under the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon. It combines foundational theory with practical, industry-relevant skills to prepare students for employment or further study.

National examinations for HND AND are organised by the National Commission for the Organisation of the Higher National Diploma Exam. Students sit for papers across the courses listed above, following the exam framework set by the commission. Knowing the structure of each paper — including mark allocation and section breakdown — is essential preparation.
